OFFER! - Macromedia xRes 3.0 Win32 with Memory Fix (Out of Memory Error When There's Plenty)>>>
This is a cool old one from 1997-1998...
Certainly another of those which were much better painters than photoshop, which was a rather GRIM painter back then & even for many years after...
xRes is very similar to the old Ulead PhotoImpact apps which were pretty awesome as well as it is object based but in a layer type fashion...
This comes with MEMORY FIX as numerous app from then will cry out 'OUT OF MEMORY' or similar when you happen to have EXCESSIVE memory...
One way to fix was bring page file down to 1000 then restart but who wants to do that?...This permanent fix intercepts the garbage 'look-up' completely...
In the case of xRes it just had 'have to close' error but I figured it must be the memory deal so applied anyways yes it worked as you see my screen here-
The fix should work on any old app with same friggin' problem so even if you don't want xRes you can download the archive (only like 6 MB so no need for me to separate) & take the memFix out & use on another...
I have a few audio app I'm gonna try out on...
In the case of xRes you just dump contents into root folder then lay out command prompt & type fixit.exe XRES3.EXE then hit return you are done...
