Amazing piece of software, runs nicely on my 8086, talks via a Soundblaster to Midi Keyboard and Sequencer, and converts the ancient machine in a powerful music machine.
I played around with Cakewalk 5.0 on my 8086 (an Amstrad PC1640 from 1987), connected to a Roland MIDI device via a Sound Blaster. It's amazing how powerful this software is and how much sound you can get out of such an old computer. However, I'm struggling with some essential features, like the "Merge" function, which I was hoping could help me combine different Midi tracks and really create some music. Does anyone happen to have a manual for it?
