I got a Sempron

i got paid so i went to Pcworld and bought a sempron 2400. so now my specs are -
  • AMD Sempron 2400
  • 256MB DDR333 (upgrading next payday)
  • 20GB Seagate HDD (also upgrading)
  • Gefoce 4000Mx - dont play games so who cares?
  • Windows XP Pro

all i need to do now is upgrade my BIOS so it recognises it properly.......[/list]

    1.67GHz same as the athlon but it runs at 333.....

    I think I'll die with 20Gb HDD... especially when using LAN...

    Ugh, FamPC has been downgraded from PIII500 to PII400. :( If you like how the Semp works out, maybe my parents would go for an upgrade.

    It went from a PIII to a PII, so I think the processors got changed. But why you'll have to ask him.

    The PIII sys.... just died. I have no idea.

    So I had to replace it with a CrapPaq PII 400.

    The HDD from the PIII wouldn't boot in the Crappaq... but shows up when I boot from the FC2 Linux that was on it... I'm getting my Win2k now to replace the FC2.

    I've used RedHat and Mandrake, but never used Fedora core2.
    For some reasons it's unpopular in Russia.
