  • You burn it again?

If you got a crappy CD-RW drive then it's going to do that once and awhile.
  • what kind of disks are you using?
  • yes ive had, about 12 times!
and the cdrw drive was 52 dollars if you wanted that information. i dont think its crappy, it never did this before.

    Cd -r s
    what brand?
    Memorex
  • this may seem kinda obvious but is ther anything in the drive? you might wanna go buy one of those cleaning disks
  • or use canned air, maybe
  • or use canned air, maybe
i spayed some canned air in there earlier and i noticed a little difference , ill try the cleaner later, but its still like a 50% corrupted cd that always gets done.
  • Did you try this with any other stuff? Like burning different music or making a data CD?

What about lower speeds of burning?
  • check the cables
  • Rather obvious, make sure nothing is running anything intensive that would cause a screwup.

  • Try slower speed. Down to 8x or 4x.
  • Lower speeds almost always fix problems with CD-R(W)s

haha " Canned air" what a scam that is
  • I know! We just use a vacuum-in-reverse with an air filter in it.

    -Q
  • or you could breathe out really fast LOL
  • lower speed=still corrupted
    cleaning=still corrupted
    different prog=still corrupted
turning everything off= no difference at all
reinstalling all the software= works :)
  • oh well. at least it works.

Sometimes you can get the air from your place of employment or with rebates... but there is a compressed air line in the lab at school :)
  • HaH! Someone reused a CHE lab!

    -Q
  • Actually it's the Research lab, not a Comp Sci lab.
  • Yea but it sounds like it used to be a CHE lab. C@Hs lba has gas jets in it!

    -Q
  • Take out the drive and open the top and clean the eye very very lightly with a Q-Tip. Then put it back together and try it out.
