Burning movies to DVD

When ever I burn Video files to DVD using Cyberlink Power producer (which came with my DVD burner) it doesnt burn it in wide screen, it squashes it on my tv so it looks retarded. Is there a way to change this or another program someone can recomend to do this?

    Well I tried to use nero vision to do it, the widescreen worked but the sound and the picutre were out of sync, How do I fix this?

    I use nero vision to make dvds and I've never had a sync problem... you sure they aren't out of sync before you started transcoding the streams?

    Try demultiplexing and then multiplex the audio again.
