  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • To my surprise, I can't do that. I re-enabled it and it didnt become transparent!
  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Or you could change the BG color to match :P
  • the colour behind the icons is the bg colour...... somthings' fucked
  • It could be the Active Desktop setting that you turned off in the registry, try turning it back on and see if it works.

Or it could be the ClassicShell setting...
  • OK Thanks. I am done!
  • active desktop was on.......

"NoActiveDesktop"=dword:00000000 = Active desktop is on

"NoActiveDesktop"=dword:00000001 = active desktop is off

    0 = disable 1 = enable :p
  • OMG I heard that even if you turn the active desktop off, it's still on, cause WinXP cant live without Active Desktop
  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • where'd you hear that slash? seems like it came from anti-XP dude.......

i think MS removed a traditional way to turn it off cause it confused n00bs..... remember XP is supposed to be easier (or n00b friendly)
  • Problem is, most people using XP have used Windows before and are fucking confused when they see it...
  • So how you can explain that I still can set *.html files as walpaper when AD is turned off?
  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • So then, how can I completely disable it?
  • Delete IEXPLORE.EXE

    LOL
  • Nope, that wont work, iexplore.exe isnt the IE core thats intergrated into windows
  • What is then?
  • mshtml.dll or something, I can't remember
  • Oh well, delete that. ;)
  • except that 1) wfp would replace it and 2) you would fuck up quite a few things
  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Oh, nevermind.
    I got it
