  • For what version of Windows?

    -Q
  • For 3x to 98???
  • 3.x the logo is a BMP file stored in VGALOGO.RLE, 9x screens can be edited my making BMPs and naming them logo.sys, logos.sys, and logosw.sys.

    -Q
  • on my PS/2 win 3.1 i found the file but how do i go about editing it?
  • Rename it to .BMP and open in Paintbrush

  • Your gonna be thinking im prtty stupid but it wont work i renamed it and it still wont let me opener up in paintbrush
  • Change it back to a RLE and then open it in Paint. If it doesn't work then copy it to a floppy and edit it on a PC that has win9x.
  • There is no need to hex edit it. Just change logo.sys logow.sys and logos.sys and get what you want!
  • You'll need Paint Shop Pro to open an RLE.

So true. Download Paint Shop Pro 3.0 and put it on that Win3x machine. I forget if Windows 3.1 Paint can open .RLE files.

    I remember 2 years ago I made a Windows 3.1x 10 year aniversary logo...haha....
  • I thought that was just a BMP...
