Borland Polaris (Delphi32/Delphi 2 FIeld Test Beta)

edited June 2022 in Offers & Requests
Hi! When I searching stuff on archive.org, I found interesting software named "Borland Polaris", or named Delphi32 (as it was the first and only support 32-bit exe compilation) which eventually becomes Delphi 2. Files were dated on 12 October 1995, which 4 months before Delphi 2 release. It will not runs on any Windows NT based OS I tested (Windows XP and Windows 7) and simply exit without errors, but runs fine in WIndows 98 VM. Also It has interesting technical documents, and installer is neither Borland Installer (used in Delphi 1, Borland C++ and many older Borland products) nor InstallShield 3 (used in final release Delphi 2) , but using WISE Installation System (probably version 4.x) as stated in technical documenetation.

Look here: https://archive.org/details/borland-polaris-pre-release-1995

It's not might not properly packed in iso as usual, but inside mac dmg file. But files and folders timestamps were right though. Here some screenshots:

By comparison, here's from Delphi Informant Magazine October 1995, which older builds.

I'm busy, so I can't explore much more. But I think, it's nice addidtion to WW library even it was in archive :)
