Well, one of id's specialties is backwards compatibility. Hell, the demo mostly runs on my GF2. Mostly...it crashes about halfway through loading anything. Sumthing about a specular map, I think.

Are you speaking about Demo or maybe you mean Alpha version which was popular 2 yrs ago?
Alpha cannot run good on anything, cuz it's alpha
