  • Well, since we don't know what your loft is like, we can't really say. Care to elaborate on it/it's conditions?

    -Q
  • If it is damp, maybe not such a good idea
  • What to know:
    • Temp: Avg winter/Avg spring/Min/Max
    • Humidity: How damp/any leaks?
    • Ventilation/Air circulation
    • Elemental intrusion (Any holes in the roof, etc, etc)
    • Any creatures in it/likely to get in?
    • Accessibility (If you need to do something)
    • Prolosed location near any power lines?

That's what we'd probably need to know to make a good descision (We'd like to know it anyway ;)).

I've heard of cockroaches finding their way into computers and xboxs and dying in them and short circuiting them

I killed a power supply thanks to a boxelder..

Every year, my house gets infested by these tiny, harmless bugs, they dont bite or eat anything in the house, and theyre not disease filled, but we still get hundreds of them...

I turned the PS on, heard a pop, then smelled something bad... I unplug it to find out what it was... the bug was wedged under a capacitor, shorting out the contacts... thats the only explanation I can think of for it happening.
  • Eew... I hate insects... Even though some do good... I still hate them...

Theyre quite large and noisy... but dont bite or anything...
  • User illegally linked to this image?

    BAD FISH! BAD!
  • Just show image in a new window and force refresh.

HeH, the boxelders that ppl step on and leave there!

Other then cokroaches and those 2 millepedes in the basement, and ants, I don't think we've got too many problems.

    -Q

PS. Just AC cables. You probably don't want to run UTP cables near them.

I got ants everywhere in my house during the summer. I play "ant smashers" on my desk whe i get bored
  • i dont think its a good idea to keep a computer of any kind in a damp palce, i kept my old 386 inthe basement for a few years and then............ god took it to 386 heaven :(
  • But we don't know how damp BODs attic is.

    -Q
  • oh in that case we should get a team over to his house to inpect that attic inch by inch
  • *goes there*

    Erm...there's a goatse poster....
