ok so my laptop randomly died agen, so i tried to install ME but it wouldnt work so i went 98...... and now it wont let me install XP cos it cant rite to the drive cos of all the badsectors... (fail) so im stuck with 98 and a 2GB partition til i get paid agen :(

strangely, the thinkpads on my thinkpad farm (because i own >4 thinkpads) all have western digital hard drives. i guess they dont think thier own hard drives are good enough... lol

BOD, try SpinRite, it can do amazzing things, ScanDisk is just sux. SR6 on there and you might be able to squeeze some more out of it untill you get the paycheck.
