    • i686. I think this is a pretty pointless thread, because most of us run ix86 systems (some have A64, but most of the people have x86).

Remember: this is still called WINboards.
    • i686.

I agree with Mental on this one. All of us mainly use x86, MacPPC or A64.
    • i686 mainly cois thats the only oine i used

I haven't even heard of most of them...
But there was a time when I used to work on Alpha PC.

      • Here, BOD, I don't know like 85% of these platforms...
      • they came off the NetBSD site
      • VAX systems!!! They are so fucking cool. They have one VAX-Terminal at my fathers work with 12 years uptime. I have 3 VAX-Terminals myself. Damn, Digital made some great systems...

      • 12 years uptime? woa
      • Yea. Its working in the "dungeon" (we call it that). It mesures the weather and then sends the info to my fathers terminal at his office.

      • This isn't support, *Moved to Hardware Talk*.

I'll agree with Slash, I don't know like 7/8s of those! I've used MacPPC, Mac68K, AMD64, and ix86, but I'd love to get into some of the others!

I wouldn't say so -- but whatever, it's not important.
If you say that, Tom, you can agree that i686 is just an extension to i386 and not a separate platform, right?
      • Well, i agree with Tom that the Amd64 is an extension to x86 soo

        x86-64 or AMD64
      • Kindof common knowledge, since I can run XP 32 on my A64.

        Also, I don't see IA64 on there!

      • This is kind of pointless... but I prefer ix86, macppc, and x86-64/
