Finding CPU upgrades....

I've decided to give up on processor upgrades...there's like nothing compatible...but I've noticed lately that the proc fan isn't sounding like it'll last much longer. The case fan was easy (this), but I have no idea where to go on processor cooling. Would 2 of those work (the one currently in there looks like a 40mm case fan)?

550mhz socket 7 cpu .. AMD k6-2 @550 mhz .. i own one it will work in any socket 7 motherboard as long as your firmware is new

Sure, it'll work in any, but you should have a Super Socket 7. Different voltage, makes all the difference.

I'm not certain, the mobo/bios in this comp don't seem compatible for shit.

wouldn't it be simpler to just upgrade both the mobo and the cpu at the same time rather than try and find a cpu for an old mobo?, could be aroudn the same price to find a combo i would believe anyway.
