What's your screen resolution? Who has the biggest/smallest/weirdest?

-Q

PS. OK we all know the answer to the last part!

  • 1280*1024 for my 18"... 1280*800 for my laptop... The wide screen resolution probably makes it weird. Well, probably not since several you are on WS.
  • Desktop: 1440x900 (Widescreen)
    Laptop: 1024x768
    Family: 1280x1024
  • 1280*768 AFAIK

Here @ work I'm on 1024*768, but most people are on 800*600 :S

    1280x960 on my desktop
    1024x768 on my laptop

    edit: make that 1280x960 >.<
  • That's what I have.

    -Q
  • 1152x864 across the board.

    -512
  • 1280 x 800 on laptop display.

    1680 x 1050 on 20" external. 1440 x 900 on 19" external.

    -SSH
  • 1280x1024 @ 89hz on the 17" CRT
    1280x800 on the laptop
  • 1280x800 on laptop, 1280x1024 on desktop
  • 1024x758.
On other machine, 640x480! 256 colours!
  • 800 X 600
I'm usually the lowest and usually have a scrollbar on the bottom
on most of the WinBoards pages.

    Thump
  • Thump, that's what I'm at now and I can see what you mean, but it's only a scroll of like, 2mm! Annoying!

    -Q
  • It's not too bad but I'm using Firefox with the text size jacked up
a couple of times so a little more that 2 mm.

    Thump
  • Ahh, OK. I'm on Internet Exploder 6 with the text at normal size.

    -Q

PS. I suspect we could get MM or whoever originally did it to remove the background from your avatar again.
  • I use 1280x1024 Resolution on my 17" MAG LCD

    Nick
  • Laptop 1024x768 (60hertz) Native resolution. Since the monitor on the laptop is dead as well the CRT I have plugged in can only do 1024x768 @60hertz

    Main desktop=1024x768@60
    Other pc's in CompaqMV400 @800x600@60hertz
    Old Laptop 800x600@75hertz
  • For some strange reason, my monitor can go down to 56Hz.

    -Q

PS. Am I the only one that can't tell the difference between refresh rates?
  • I had mine go down to 35mhz once, not a very wise decision...
  • I can only use 60Hz, but this is an LCD. I havent used a CRT in AGES now, and plan to keep it that way.

Oh, and my screen resolutions are very few:

    800x600
    1024x768
    1280x600
    1280x720
    1280x768 (The resolution I use)
  • Anything below 70Hz is flickery :|.
  • They all appear the same to me.

    -Q
  • Anything CRT is.
  • I'd have to disagree Ka0s all the CRT's in my place @60htz look fine(maybe not to you) but 60 is the minimum they should run at otherwise you do see the scanlines (look at them in older news reports and things it's when the monitor is all flickering). Strangley my monjitor only does 60htz at 1024x768 but at 800x600 it can do something like 110. My bros higher quality but quite old 17inch crt can do 185htz at 800x600 but nothing shows up so he has it set to 75(though I told him 85 would be better). Anyway thats just my opinion. I say this because most LCD's only look good at the native reslution they were designed others look a bit crappy, this is of course only if you buy your average bog standard or really crappy cheapo most mid range ones are better now. But I will probably use a crt until they become extinct and are no longer made.
  • 60Hz is horrible
  • I meant that all CRTs are the same to me, they all bother my eyes.
  • I know, I didn't mean anything just gave my opinion on why I disagree. Some people are affected by pc monitors more than others, there was a study years ago, I remember seeing it on the news just something to do with people being more receptive to the flicker of monitors than other people. I was about 9 when I saw it so I don't remember the whole facts.:P
