  • I didn't know they were called Model M. :( Sad, isn't it?
  • I didn't know either. I googled the part number a while ago and turned up a massive Wikipedia article on it, which is how I now know. Ofcourse I only found out after I completely screwed up my original one.

It's a weight cartridge, I can put different combinations of weights into it, and it slides into the bottom of the mouse.
  • Cool!

  • Microsoft Natural Keyboard 4000
    Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse
  • MS Natural Keyboard 4000, same as Zimmy. Made of pure win.

As for the mouse, just a standard OEM Compaq scroll mouse. I need something optical. Actually, I've been thinking about a trackball. Anyone have any experiences with them?

  • Optical mice are much more reliable than any other (except laser) and never have to have their trackballs cleaned as they don't have any.
  • I'm just going to point out the category of 'optical mice' includes laser mice. Both use an optics to determine the mouse position, except 'normal' optical mice use a LED to illuminate the surface, while 'laser' mice use a low-power laser.

:( yes I admit that I need an newer Keyboard and an newer Mouse.... (the keyboard is 1 year old , and the mouse is only 10 months old... :() but I need newer (better) ones.... Like Logitech or Microsoft, but they`re expensive :(

:?: What is Mine???? is an old keyboard model???? :?:
  • Laser mice pwn. They work on almost any surface I put it on, while my optical mouse freaks out when I use it on my desk (I guess because the paint is kind of glossy)
  • This is why we have mouse mats.
