What can I do with a HD that won't boot?

    I can't boot to floppy.

    Let me simplify it. My laptop asks for a boot disk, but accepts none.

    So, does anyone have any ideas? I'm on holiday from tomorrow to next Saturday, but may have to buy a new laptop when I get back. Anyone have any ideas how to fix my HD?
