^^^^---Had a mess of premium desktop boxes at one time: trade-ins, dumspter diving at U of M. It's hard to describe to those who haven't seen them, how the better boxes were made. Not just keylocks, but heavier chassis, chrome rails, card slot supports, cable routing clips - just all around stuff that only a techie would appreciate.
The import types loved to chrome the power supply cases too.
HP 200LX (IBM PC/XT compatible PDA. Hey, why not?? 2MB of ram, only 640KB usable, the rest of it is a RAM disk, drive C. CGA 640x200 equivalent graphics in monochrome.) http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-200LX-Palmto ... 2256828642

^^^ I have one of those - or A jornada - or is there a difference? In the box, probably less than an hour total time playing with it when I let a guy trade it to me as partial payment for a real desktop PC.
Box, books - all the stuff it ever came with - I wonder if a replacement NiCad could still be bought for it?

The HP 200LX is an MS-DOS Palmtop PC. A Jornada is Windows CE. They are night and day. The HP 200LX is an IBM compatible 80186, but the Jornada uses the technology your android, iOS, older Windows (Pre Windows 8 ) smart phone or tablet uses, ARM.
Hi, before I post any items up on here. I just wanted to make sure it was fine to do so.
I recently cleared a computer support firm that had closed down and have loads of new and used vintage computer parts like EISA Controller cards, sound blaster cards etc.
Most are listed in my ebay shop with more being listed daily.
That is fine as long as they are on-topic, not zillions of posts, and really might be interesting to people here. Sound blasters cards certainly would be.
There is Colby Portable PC on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COLBY-PORTABLE- ... #ht_95wt_0
Not clear when this one was made, but these would have mostly sold before IBM came out with their own portable. The Colby was a portable case in which one could stuff the guts of genuine IBM PC. Notice that there are only 5 slots on the back, indicating it would take the earlier 5150 (PC) motherboard rather than a 5160 (XT) like IBM's portable.
The seller doesn't say if it has genuine IBM parts in it, but when these were made the idea was to have a genuine IBM product in a portable form before portable sufficiently compatible clones were widely available.
The Colby was also notable for offering a Macintosh version - reportedly on sale seconds after the 1984 introduction of the Mac.
