Unlocking Sony VAIO VT-x features

edited November 2015 in Hardware
Hi, I have 11.1 inch Sony VAIO laptop with model VGN-TT46GG. So just want to play Windows while i bring it to coffee hotspot (i have installed Debian 8.02 inside, as any windows I tried 7 and 10 getting sucks in booting times, windows 10 in certain situations can booting to 10 minutes  ). Anything is okay, wine applications worked while some others have compability issues. Then i tried install Windows XP SP3 inside VirtualBox. Good enough, but slower as BIOS disable it. It's also reported while booting that kvm is disabled by BIOS. It's shipped with Core 2 Duo SU9600, and support VT as Intel tells.

Trying press F2 to access BIOS utility setup but no VT configuration here! So i tried to try this article but I not able to reach efi boot, as my laptop isn't efi BIOS. Tried to upgrade official BIOS update (as Sony claims will enable VT configuration through utility setup in later updates) but works only under Windows 7, and i'm getting lazy to back to Windows again

This is official specs

So, any suggestion for my problems...?

  • Buy a new PC?
  • :D finally it get worked with lastest BIOS updates!
First thing, let you boot to Windows like environment like Hiren Boot CD, BartPE or WinPE (I use first choice, it's easier to install to your flash disk).
Get my modified flash utility, it's basically same version flash utility from sony official support, but i just unpack it then edit some preferences to make it work.
Unpack and run InsyideFlash.exe. Wait until dialog appear for moments and disappear.
Reboot your machine, press F2 on POST screen.
You get a new tab about "virtualization"

WARNING: THIS FLASH UTILITY ONLY TESTED ON MY LAPTOP (Sony Vaio VGN-TT46GG)! I HAVE NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU GET SOMETHING WRONG!

    Then this's bonus for you:
