Toshiba T2130Ct Sound driver

edited March 2017 in Software
Hi,
I recently aquired a Toshiab Tecra 2130CT laptop with TFT screen.
The issue being, this 75Mhz 486 laptop does not have a sound card.
So, what's the best way to get 8-bit emulation sound though the 'PC Speaker'?
I know Windows 3.1x has a driver which allows for wave files to be played at 8-bit 22Khz. But that just sound horrible, or is it my only choice?
And is there a native DOS driver which allows for this?

  • The PC speaker driver under Windows 3.1 will be your only choice.

Under DOS you'll need to choose PC speaker as the sound option in the game's setup, not have a driver as such loading up on boot up.

I recently sold by Toshiba Dynabook SS475, which was practically the same in specs but for the Japanese market.
  • If you have a parallel port, you could use a Covox compatible adapter instead. if you have a docking station, then it may have ISA slots on it.
