  • I have Mirai and Nendo along with Nichimen N-World, if you want them. Nendo works fine, Mirai works on XP, and renders, but it takes up an immense amount of memory, and you need to change the date and crap. N-World I have not gotten to work but I only tried on XP.

These are the versions I have:

    Mirai_1.043.zip
    Nichimen Mirai 1.1a Portable.zip

    Nendo_1.5.zip

    Nichimen_N-World_3.2.zip

If you still want them lemme know.
  • Hey there,

Thanks for the reply, sure post the links and I will be more than happy to download the files!
    Cheers 🍻

  • I'd be interested in N-World in particular...

Already have & use Nendo & Mirai...

No memory issues with my Mirai setup on XP SP3 and a friend had it going on Win 7 64bit but didn't report on render ability which is first thing to check...

Best to use the portable Mirai with cracklock datefaker then usually no problem...There are other pitfalls but no use voicing as most everybody just 'collects' it & never bothers to try honestly to get running...

Most just double-click EXE into license error, shut it down, forget....
  • Just to add...NENDO quite capable model-paint & rather enjoy it's simplicity...You cannot forget how to use NENDO...

Here is a BiBeast Bust I did not long ago in Nendo...Then took into Cinema 4D XL7 (2001) to further process-

    https://united3dartists.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6018
  • Now that’s teasing! Would you care to share the files? Or am I just to have fun looking at pretty pictures?
  • I remember years ago watching a video of Bay Raitt demoing Mirai , but by then izware closed its doors 🚪 and both programs died with it! The only good news that came out of it was that it inspired a young fellow to create wings3d! It’s a shame izware never went on to develop those programs further!
  • Well I thought xuhha was gonna be back with files...I'd really like a crack at N-World...
I suppose if he don't come back I can dig mine up which are not 'handy' at the moment...Been doing more audio music stuff with Trackers recently been out of touch with 3D...

Wings3D an OK choice for a substitute but that 'ERLANG' or 'ERKLANG' library it is mated to is very much a 'viewport chugger'...By the time you got enough polys for brush sculpting the thing is chugging-freezing...

Wings3D more a NENDO clone with some Mirai elements thrown in. Both Nendo & Mirai got 3D Paint (& 2D paint in Mirai) Both get way higher poly counts than Wings3D especially Mirai...Mirai also way far advanced even STILL!

The annotated screenshots I made to help get some friends 'started' understanding a few key concepts about Mirai...The previous post about Nendo was pure window dressing (at UnitedArtists)...

Maybe xuhha has my portable version with instructions, I don't know...BUTT! I pretty much took some time figuring how to properly run MIRAI which takes some effort but I can run it EVERY TIME but I use XP SP3 32bit for this...I have a Dell with 64bit windows 10 that a neighbor gave me but don't use it for ANYTHING! Well, that's a lie...I burn movies-data on it but never let it hook the internet...and it always YEARNS for the hookup.

Anyways don't know anybody yet that has Mirai working on windows 10 or 8...Best to get an old dual-core off craigslist that has XP for 20 or 40 bucks and FORGET trying to put round peg in square hole...
  • OK Well as luck would have it found a 'Nendo Package' I did up for a friend like a year ago...Contains everything you need & way more...Run the NDQ scripts for a 'tutorial experience'...Remember that if you export a format BEFORE entering paint room it will be quads in OBJ format but will be triangulated if exported from the paint room...

    https://anonfiles.com/18A4Vc54pa/Nendo15_rar

As far as Mirai (My particular package-instruction) I probably won't actively look for it...Too many just collect & don't use it so worthless in that way & a waste of my time as well as many on WinWorld being impatient, short, somewhat rude...

However if you, or ANYBODY else takes this Nendo package & actually uses it (I'll need shotz) & is still interested in Mirai and is also courteous & patient I'll upload it...

Other than that for now it's up to xuhha...
  • @TalkOrBell
It’s been a long time since I last used, Nendo and I believe it was the 1.5 version. At the time I did make a model. And when izware died so did my interest in both programs. However I liked the simplicity of each program. So much so , that after 20 years of searching for both programs. I wanted to rekindle my interest in 3d modeling with these two old workhorses once again! At the time my finances didn’t allow me to stretch and buy these tools 🧰 . Over the years I moved onto other tools like blender (one weird program) and wings3d , silo3d , lightwave3d and 3d studio max 2008 I now have cinema4d r15. But most of these tools are not cheap and never have been so 3d modeling is not a cheap hobby or profession! Over the years I have researched all of them including the spinoff Of lightwave 3d , modo by the core group who worked on lightwave3d.

I guess I can wait another 20 years or until the bucket kicks me! Patients is a virtue and I guess I was born with it!

    Cheers 🍻

  • As for music trackers, I have done years of research and music making with these tools. From the likes of scream tracker , impulse tracker, fast tracker, right to upto to the new guys on the block like mad tracker which is now defunct! And the noisy renoise tracker! Which is now classified as a DAW!
I now have a huge collection of DAW Software like flstudio , presonus studio one , acid pro , mix craft pro studio, Cubase, magix samplitude, and so many others, the only ones left to buy are reaper and mutools! And believe you me I have a shit load of vst plugins!!!

    Cheers

  • OK, Thanks for the responses BigfART...

Yeah the uploaded Nendo is 1.5 version as you probably know by now...

Drat it looks like xuhha ain't makin' it back...

Nice you have Tracker experience, Yeah, I got all the other too but end up gravitating back to Trackers for some reason...Probably their uniqueness, coolness & challenge...

Used Renoise in the past but it had RAM-CPU hogging even then...No Tracker should be that way as the whole reason to have a Tracker is to have a less graphical intensive method of spreadsheeting the tune and-or if you like working in such a fashion...

I have a Renoise tune here-

    https://alonetone.com/TalkOrBell/tracks/pure-suede-me-(wip)

Also they refuse to incorporate piano roll (cause mueller hates them) and at this stage the reason sampler should be able to import ANY sample format but NO....Can't have that...

    I quite like-

-Skale Tracker 0.81...Has AKAI-SF2 Import and uses VST-VSTi (but only GUI-less)

-SVArTracker 1.22...The only freeware version given out & a Nice ADVANCED Tracker with arrange view, automation curves, nice sampler that handles some alien formats, 'Roll your Own' pattern effect commands fully customizable, VST-VSTi support, Pattern Track Freezing, Pattern block selection to internal sampler render and a hell of a lot more...

-IoNeo Aero Studio 1.13...Simple with dual Tracker-Piano roll & machine view hook-up with arrangement view setup for fast workflow...Very low CPU-RAM usage, one of the best out of EVERYTHING!

Tune in Aero Studio I did-

    https://alonetone.com/TalkOrBell/tracks/apache-swagger

-Arguru Aodix 4.2...From the late Arguru (so sad)this was really going somewhere...Nicely laid-out Tracker with VERY INGENIOUS vertical piano roll integrated into Tracker view...Punch out notes on QWERTY then adjust-move with piano roll in a totally tickless environment where you can stack notes by sliding over-under as much as you want for real organic composing...

Have an intro I had completed before a crash (rootkit, not from Aodix)-

    https://alonetone.com/TalkOrBell/tracks/genetically-modified-mood---intro-only

In my opinion all these 4 Trackers have enough going for them to be more desirable than friggin' renoise...
  • Skale tracker has an interesting interface, but sadly development stopped. Never really liked svar tracker. Aero studio was one I never new about 2 years ago a very ancient design and needs to be registered to be used efficiently! As for agurus aodix tracker this program was a cool tool, but sadly the author died in a car accident! A real shame. He even created noisetrekker. A gifted coder!

At present I use openmpt, madtracker and renoise! I even dabble in the impulse tracker clone schism tracker as well impulse itself in dosbox! I even have my eye on the fast tracker clone made by 8bit bubsy. Place I fart about with fast tracker itself in Dosbox!

Your tunes don’t sound too bad ,

I have even made a few myself over the years!

Two of them sit in collections online!

One hopes that mirai and n-world will be released so that they can be looked at and used. I will wait and see what you or xuhha will link here.

    Cheers 🍻

    BigfART 💨

Ps. I will see if I can find my old model with pictures to release here.
  • Cool then...

    Looks like no xuhha...

    Well, onto more Tracker subject...

Aero Studio maybe old design but it don't mean it's crappy...Actually one of the faster workflows out there...Just most don't know, care or convince themselves not to learn it or try it at all...

It's abandonware you see...I actually shared it ON HERE awhile back...No interest...Do a search. let me know if you want it...Yes, with keygen...

OpenMPT & MadTracker both good...But with renoise you just get what Mueller thinks you oughta have...If it were so great it could do what it does today on Win98 with 64MB RAM...But it can't, it simply carves well into the resources of modern machines...

Plus more expensive now back when it was 45 bucks for version 1.5 now THAT was a good deal...Most of the best renoise tunes were made in 1.5-1.9...With so many 'new features' certainly alotta trash syncopations nowadays...

Back to my points...Well, Yes, ALL of these no longer being developed but that don't negate their attributes that are outstanding...They are ALL better on resources than renoise as well. If you are an old Tracker User than you certainly know about the 'scene' and alot of free trackers that get left behind...That does not indicate junk...

I have a couple old versions of renoise that are full reg that I happened to stumble on...I don't use them except for comparison...I'm sure the renoise team is relieved...

I am sad that the SVArTracker guy is offline now as I would certainly BUY the 1.30 version (the last) It had greatly improved pattern sector with expression curves you draw out right there in the pattern sector (like current radium). I am currently trying to contact to see about purchase even now...HOPEFULLY!

You can see some of what I am saying on some of these vids on Devs channel-

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChGjgUiZ5xvkySdVpMgl_og/videos

Not much dialog dev is Russian with poor english so docs not so good but like anything else it's best to learn by USING...SVArTracker certainly full feature & sound as good as renoise just using directsound (No ASIO) with no crackle makes it easy to use while ALSO using other audio editor at same time...

In SVArTracker you can choose either load your shit in RAM or use Direct-From-Disc...Many been asking for this in renoise as they complain 4-6-8 GIGs RAM using while playing...RIDICULOUS!

In SVAR haven't even had to switch to DFD yet...Really like the custom 'Roll your own' pattern effects system...VERY UNIQUE!

For a NON-Tracker recently tried out LMMS 1.2.2 which is now quite good...It's 'clicky' with it's own instruments but I don't use them anyway I use other VSTs...Very easy to use no manual needed many there making better tunes than I find at ableton or renoise...Last version I tried some years ago was 1.0.3 it was pretty bad...

You could take LMMS 1.2.2 & add the old free ReViSiT 0.94 VST for a tracker plug better setup than renoise or you could use Skale Tracker as a VSTi in it...YUP, Skale a great VSTi...BeRoTracket can also be VSTi but haven't tried that yet but have messed with BeRoTracker Classic enough to say it's real good too...WITH PIANO ROLL and the sample editor-inst editor nice making it a DAW as well..

Sorry guys, you'll find them in here: https://mega.nz/folder/W9sBGCZI#8v8eKYZiRQeke8HcTFpN_Q

If anyone manages to get N-World to work, it'd be great to know how. I've tried it on Win XP 32 bit and it just won't budge, even with the date set back, but I don't know anything about Lisp so I could be doing something obvious wrong.

And, having read the posts, yes, the portable version is in there, along with another version taken from I think the AKIRA cds, but which has been glitchy with me (objects don't appear.) It's a real shame, because I love Mirai and I really want to use it, but I always seem to have problems with it.
  • Thanks Xuhha!! Very nice...

First that I have ever seen N-World up for grabs...KOOL!

What kinda problems you have with Mirai? What OS you tryin' it on?...

I only...ONLY use Mirai on WinXP SP3 32bit with seven such machines I have Mirai running on THEM ALL...Everytime, No hassle...

The only difference there is between machines is that Mirai will render on some & NOT on others...

-Renders on (so far) every machine with OpenGL 1.X
-Renders on (so far) every machine with OpenGL 2.X that has a Nvidia Card

If you get Mirai running first thing you should do is try a render as that will determine how far you can go in it...If you cannot render you can still model-paint-export...If you can render you can do all the animation, dynamics & stuff...

I DO NOT recommend using the install version as I have never got that to work right and if you have installed that version you must get rid of every last piece before trying the trusted portable version (which is not really portable as it still writes license file & prefs to disc)...

I use CrackLock for datefaking with full path install with date of June or July of 2002 seems to work best full system-wide datefake (all processes)...

This is because Mirai is a 3D OPERATING SYSTEM not an application so has extra needs...

I have known people to try running in windows 10 or 8 no go not recommended...Get a cheap old single or dual-core off craigslist or ebay or steal from friend or enemy that has XP on it prefer with Nvidia card or OpenGL 1.4-1.5...

Have uploaded my original posting of Mirai from CGPersia from 2018...I deleted the post but before I did I kept a MHT copy...Uploaded for you or other as it is a bible...A BIBLE!! to getting Mirai running...

    PS-
In this instance some of the more recent but crappy performance NETBOOKS are great for Mirai...
I bought a Acer Aspire ONE D250 Netbook back in 2010 that had XP on it stock...It was actually new from 2009 but had cruddy OpenGL 1.5...But for mirai this is what you want. Mirai runs perfect on it with full render even though crappy GMA graphics. Mirai quite space-saving GUI no prob on this small screen...

    Hey TalkOrBell,

I'm running Mirai on Windows XP SP3 32 bit too. I haven't used cracklock, because my BIOS date is set to 2006 in order to run Softimage v4.0. Mirai portable will load fine, and I can model and render, but sometimes, and I don't know what determines it, multiple instances of nichimen.exe will start appearing in the Task Manager (which I can't stop except for by restarting my computer,) and my CPU usage will shoot to 90%+. Apart from that, I can use the actual program just fine.

Also, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but, having read that mht you uploaded, I couldn't help but see you'd mentioned Amorphium 3, which I've been trying to get my hands on forever. You don't happen to have a copy, do you?
  • OK then Xuhha...

Interesting that it runs with a 2006 date...

What's the story about the older XSIs not working past a certain date?

Any rate...I have had that 'multiple instance' issue on an old Toshiba Satellite A85-S107 when running Mirai...That laptop died so no more problem...

My other machines don't appear to have such a problem so it is likely the nature of the OS-Graphics & what-not But I used a freeware called Fast Application Kill that would shoot down the instances...

There might be a way to prevent multiple instances or not...

I also had problem on that machine with multiple instances of 'TripX' still running after every render...Just killed them the same way...

Also keep checking the 'flexlm' folder on your 'C' drive for 'nichiman' or 'tripx' files and keep deleting them AFTER shutting Mirai down...

Sure, I'll get Amorphium up for you check back later today or tomorrow on THIS thread My Friend!

    TalkOrBell
  • I should state that all the advice I give is reflected on the 'PORTABLE' version of Mirai...Don't mess up an install version if it's workin'

OK Xuhha...Here is the Amorphium stuff...Version 3.0 & 1.1 and installer extras for 3.0 plus some extra PDFs...

Xuhha's link working for me...Go to the mega page then R-Click on the Mirai archive choose standard DL wait for it to queue up...

By the way Xuhha's archive is the one I built up back in 2018 so info all in the documents folder...
  • edited January 2021
Is it really broken? It works fine for me, but here you go:

    https://www.sendspace.com/file/ft6oex

@TalkOrBell, thank you so much for Amorphium! And as for Softimage 4.0, as far as I know, the permanent license you would have bought for it back in the day wasn't exactly permanent, and only lasted for ~10 or so years, and it will check whether your BIOS clock is within that date when you start it--you can't, to my knowledge, just change the date on your computer, but need to have an earlier date set when you actually install Windows. At least that's how I got it to work.

As for Mirai, I might look up that fast app killer. Since we're both on the same OS, and it works just fine for you, it might be a problem with my gfx card or something. I really don't know, but thank you for the help.

  • No need to look up Fast Application Kill...It is in the documents folder of the portable mirai you have uploaded as I had put it in there for others when I uploaded that on CGPersia 2 years ago...

Like I say the portable you are sharing IS the one I compiled up then with alot of info in the 'documents' folder...

I am 'Deluge' on CGPersia...Used to be pretty active but not anymore...Still got 4,800 thanks to my username...
  • Yes , the link is broken! However I did get the individual file that you posted with the new link! Any chance of uploading the n-world files?

    Cheers 🍻

  • I have managed to install and run the portable Mirai. The only problem at present that I have with Mirai , is when you’re ready to quit the program. Mirai won’t quit normally! I’m forced to make it close!
I’m running under Windows 7 32bit and on a 10 year old laptop!

    Cheers 🍻

  • Here is N-World:

    https://www.sendspace.com/file/1zv47q

I'm not sure how to help with that, sorry, TalkOrBell might know though. Good luck!
  • Thanks Xuhha, one final request can you link Mirai 1.043 zip file.

    Cheers 🍻
