Sounds like you are going to get yourself a good computer.
Although I would get a bigger HD and a better video card.
The hd will serve my needs beautifully. As for video I got it cheap but it is only to tide me over till I get a better card.
Alright. Sounds good then.

If your planning on doing ICS or something then I understand... but if you aren't, why do you have the 3Com if you have onboard Gigabit...
Other then that bit of confusion I say it's a nice system.
You game dont you ConDef, you should get a better graphics card.
I have a 2nd ethernet card in my pc, go ahead and put that 3com 10/100 nic. it might come in handy.
I bet it will be fine for him after 6 months.
I am not spending that much on it.

ConDef is a he..
Also, sure we had ancient PCs, but we didnt know something better existed.... well we did sort of...
Is there a problem with those? I am not made of money so when I feel like it I will buy some more parts for the comp. As it is I am grateful to HAVE a cd-rw & video card in the first place.
The CD-RW is fine. I survived with a 4x2x16 for 4 years. Video Card you may want to consider upgrading some year, but its fine to begin with.
