  • Heh, and is French in that Germanic group?
And in what group is Russian? Maybe in Slavonic one?

    French is a Romance langauge

    And Russian...

You should contribute on the Russian Wikipedia

    -Q
  • english is like several different languages minced into one mess of crap
  • I think all langauges are like that to a degree...

    -Q

  • Well, there *is* Konqueror, but I was referring to MS integrating possibly the most insecure browser ever written into their OS.

Funny, seeing as Linux treats the browser and OS seperately, thereby drastically reducing the number of secutiry holes, not to mention that an open-source model tends to write more secure software...
You obviously haven't used KDE very much.
Back on topic. What I meant by that post is that KDE uses Konqueror as its browser and shell. Both integrated. Just like IE.

No one forces you to use it. As long as I don't use IE, it doesn't affect me for the most part. Anything else, and it just requires a quick visit to WU.

That's still not a good excuse for the myriads of security holes, many of which make use of the integration.

  • and they're some sites which you have to use IE with

*All* software has security holes. I could use that very same argument for basically any *nix software, as well as Windows.
Saying that any piece software doesn't have security holes is like saying that all starfish will have 5 legs. It simply cannot be proven.
  • Hasn 't all starfish five legs?

Nope. And you don't know that all starfish WILL have 5 legs.
  • Aha... I'm lost...
  • Look, the point is that you cannot say that all software is totally secure because a new hole can always be found in it. No matter how good you think it is.
  • Aha.. Sounds better! :)
