i play lots of big games on the desktop, post mortem is my favorite and i have gta 3 , that was demanding on the vid card so i upgraded and it was as smooth as a babys arse. but windows xp never complains
I actually had fun with that. Enigma, Pingus and "Circus Linux" were good too, I even installed Enigma on Windows . It's not really lack of games, Linux has plenty of games, it's the name brand/real popular one not getting ported, but that doesn't really affect me (Although I can completely understand other ppl getting irritated @ that).
i cant do anything becuase i have to install dependancies. when was the last time i had to install things to run other things on windows (with maybe the exception of DirectX)?

talk can be anywhere.
Have to remember BSD and Linux are in the same Unix family. If you think Linux is for homos then so is BSD.
since when?
I use Enemy-Territory several hours a day, Quake 3 every once in a while, and never ever have a problem with them. And my XP looks exactly like 2000.
It's just a homo remake that was designed to feel likt UNIX. The whole thing is just one big hackjob with the stability of a jenga tower.
In the context of the rest of that sentence I had to think about that 2x before deciding on the correct interpretation.

SDL - DirectInput, DirectDraw, DirectSound
OK, so not everything a DX programmer can use, but it's a good start.
