What Web Browser Do You Use?

  • Well, IE7 is mostly deintegrated from WVI, so that's not longer a complaint from me. I know that its still more integrated then, say, Ffx or Opera, but less so then the notorious 98 one was.

    -Q
  • IE6 isnt exactly that integrated into XP either.

Agreed, SP1 took care of that... a little antitrust ruling goes a long way....
  • Well, I noticed it more in WVI then XP, however I will admit both are less then the notorious 98+IE4 (I think).

Anyway, as a browser, it varies depending on version. I'll prefer a different one to almost any of them almost any day, however.

    -Q
  • I use IE7... FireFox falis too much for me ; )
  • Try netscape. netscape.jpg
  • If you're going to try NS, why not just try Ffx? That's what the newer releases are based on.

    -Q
  • It seems to be simpler, therefore starts up faster, and allows multiple accounts.
  • Have you tried "firefox -p" ?

    -Q
  • Yes. I was criticized of advertising firefox in a previous poll of similar title.
  • Any now you're advertising NS?

    -Q
  • Please do not start a similar argument-I've been involved in too many in Winboards already!
  • Oh, I think it's time to bring up this video!

  • ARGH!

There should be LAWS (Or at least AUPs) against such crap as that chain letter someone pasted.

    -Q
  • What the hell does that video even acheive?

    It makes no sense.
  • It seems mostly targeted to the "Firefox > IE" and I think safari and netscape where just thrown in for... well who knows?

Anyways, I still laugh at that :P
  • on:

    Windows: Opera

    OSX: Firefox

    Mac 7.53: iCab
  • Why .3? Why not go for 7.5.5?

    -Q

    IE is nasty.
  • I'll admit, they made IE9 the first decent version of IE since like 2.0 but it'll still take a bit more time before I use it on a home computer.
  • IE9 is definitely the best IE they've released in a long time. Finally a worthy competitor. But as nice as it is, I have no plans to use it as a main browser.

I was half expecting him to be running Crossover on linux so he could run IE 6/7

Still a firefox fanboy....unlikely to change anytime soon.
  • merty

I hadn't even thought of "Crossover" thanks for the suggestion. One of these days when I'm bored I may just give it a shot. I do need to update UBUNTU anyway.

    Thanks again.

Just finished upgrading UBUNTU 9.10 to 10.04 (could not go any higher due to system limitations (IBM intel-P3 667 Mhz, 384 megs Ram, 10 Gig HD, nvidia MX 400 video card). Internet Explorer 6.0 works just fine. :lol
