lol [half the smilies are broken but insert one here]
Damn that looks good. I'm gonna have to get Rainmeter installed on this Dell now and set it all up again, assuming I can find the skin pack. Also need to find a music visualizer widget that doesn't ruin the CPU.
By complete fluke, my visualizer was behaving and it perfectly fitted with some random wallpapers from /r/earthporn so here we go:
Pretty happy with it for now, especially on my new under-£100 PC build (i3 4130, 6GB DDR3, 64GB SSD, Fractal Design Core 1100).
The advantage of three crappy monitors is more wallpapers.
Look closely at the second window, second image. Enjoy.
It wasn't difficult. Running native AHCI Sata on an SSD. It's fast. Bootup time is near instant, as well as file browsing.
Only limitation is the horrid VGA as Longhorn is incompatible with my card, or else it just won't load the driver. Everything else works- HD sound(after MSUAA patch), SD, and wireless although WZC won't load a proper IP. And no, I'm using TrueTransparency. And for some reason, it won't load proper time.
Wow, longhorn looks nicer than I remember. Care to upload the theme somewhere? It looks different from the one I have...
Many dislike my choice of OS, but hey, I think Vista looks really nice:
1280x1024 display, a bit unusual but it's the best monitor I've ever owned (HP vs17e).
With a new desktop comes a new background! This is from my new i5 I built which is being used as a programming/gaming/archiving station for myself. Next time I get a chance I'll need to post an updated network map also with all the changes I've made. (Picture was taken by myself of the Wishbone Ash record Just Testing)
No wallpaper for me, just the pitch darkness on all my devices. I don't make use of the desktop much and I rarely see it with all the programs I have running, so I ignore it entirely. Instead I keep all my frequent programs on the taskbar.

Oh man I couldn't do that. My taskbar is completely empty sans running apps and the clock. Nothing is pinned, as I can just open the start menu to launch something. Old fashioned, but it works.
I guess throw me in.
I do coding and stuff like that, I can tell you the order of windows and I can modify it to run smooth.
I present my Photoshop-ed Akame Ga Kill.
I was meaning over an older picture, due to my low res., i did not see that there was 3 more pages and mistaken one of your older pics as a newer one
Sorry
With a growing number of essential programs saying "We're not supporting Vista" I needed to make the choice.
I disliked 7, not to mention it's on life support. 8 is unsupported, and 8.1 is a wee bit tablet-oriented. Though I have a license for 10 pro, it just didn't appeal to me.
Server 2012 is virtually unsupported, but R2 is considerable. However, 2016 caught my eye with its 10-like support and better options, and I decided to bite the bullet and dump the money.
It's what I would expect out of a server os. Rock-solid, even with generic included drivers. Most of the vulnerable client fluff is not available or disabled.
Something I would seriously stick with, considering it's a beefed-up and pricey Windows 10 Enterprise alternative.
yourepichere, I can really agree with you that the newer Windows NT is really beefing up PC's Technology. Best part is that there is barely to none bloat ware implemented for these technology. So I would say that it doesn't bite your Hard Disk's Space at all. But the factor of the sometimes unstable programs, the OS can run into problems. So in my conclusion I tend to dual boot it anyways.

Linux finally got to the point where I can use it without things missing or breaking all of the time..

Yea, it's quite messy. Greenshot saves all screenshots by default to the desktop, and I haven't bothered to change it.
The monitor on the right is RDP connection to my server.

I might try to do that type of server. It looks interesting, and something I could try. i probably wont get around to that though.
On to my desktop!
sorry about the picture being big...
12x10 isn't unusual at all, it being the most common non-widescreen resolution for monitors.

Guess it's you and me Skora. Let's see what you got.
A simplified network diagram.
I have a direct connection between the two laptops to transfer files and backups.
The wallpaper is the same on all devices and my phone.
Nothing fancy Windows NT 4.0 Workstation with NT4 Visual Update 3RC1. Pretty basic install.
Hardware
IBM Thinkpad T43
2.0GHz Pentium-M
512MB DDR2 RAM
40GB HDD

Have fun, KingOfLeAnime
Joyous new monitor, only problem is now I've gotta redo all my backgrounds for the new aspect ratio.
