Yes, I use Windows 7, I hate Windows 10 look and interface, so I will be staying with 7 as long as I can.
Yes, my desktop is messy, but I like it that way, things are easy to find, and also just dumping dragging and dropping and image on to the desktop when downloading and uploading memes on Facebook, is a great convenience.
Look closely at the second window, second image. Enjoy.
It wasn't difficult. Running native AHCI Sata on an SSD. It's fast. Bootup time is near instant, as well as file browsing.
Only limitation is the horrid VGA as Longhorn is incompatible with my card, or else it just won't load the driver. Everything else works- HD sound(after MSUAA patch), SD, and wireless although WZC won't load a proper IP. And no, I'm using TrueTransparency. And for some reason, it won't load proper time.
SCREAMMM!
hahahahaha.
My Real desktop WAS messy (i tried to post before, but idk how to upload images, and my DigiCam is deader than my AC anyways) until mom accidentally threw out the box that had an old Remington-Rand KMC, so now....its...empty.
My COMPUTER desktop is blank, spare the Chromium (Chrome is NO-LONGER compatible with XP, but the BETA version is? *Sighs*)with the ntimage (if you use XP, doasearch for ntimage as a image file in the windows directory.)file as my bacground , sorry i cant post images.

I'd hate to be the screenshot critic, but numerous "issues" exist.
First, and biggest, he saved the image as a jpeg likely with paint. Jpegs are great for compact images, but most use a bad compression algorithm and all those artifacts come up. Paint uses one of the most lossy algorithms, and the jpeg image always comes out noisy.
Next, he altered the jpeg by resizing. Anytime you do something with a jpeg and resave, more noise artifacts come up due to the recompression. PNG generally does not posses this.
Third, he used a rather poor action photo of Marilyn Manson, and judging by the noise there, I'd guess is was an undersized jpeg as well.
Lastly, he left a large number of images that appear to have been obtained form a *chan site, some likely from the "pretty women" board.
I'd at least put them in a dedicated folder in "My Pictures," that way I don't see something from hm lying around, open it and glare for 5 minutes when looking for a tax spreadsheet.
For some reason I go from manga to early 20th century architecture, to strange artwork, and then back again. Maybe some of my personal images in between.

I'm not into women so that isn't a problem for me :P
Nice and simple, with a desktop background from r/earthporn
I'm jsut saying in a production environment(which he's not running) it is best to keep possible distractions away.
At this point, the pornography didn't offend me either. It's stuff desperate guys are into and it's not my picture so I don't care.
I'm sure in today's society someone with no business is probably "offended."
This just came from the lab.
Don't think the expired ektachrome was a good idea. Then again it held up better that the other 20y old expired films in my drawer.
I have to get my hands on some kodak vision stocks. My ecn2 kit is going to expire soon.

1. As you said, I am not running a "production environment". This one of my many personal machines (all of them are personal technically), in my own bedroom. So why even mention a production environment?
2. Some people like porn from time to time, some people like Hugh Hefner and Larry Flynt have mad millions from it. I don't underestimate people who think they have a right to care about what someone does in their own private homes or other properties.

What you do in the privacy of your own home/bedroom is no longer private when you post it on a public forum board for the entire world to see. That said, this really isn't an appropriate discussion to hold within this thread.
Getting back on track, I'm a big fan of classic games. Pitfall II: Lost Caverns is often lauded as the best game made for the Atari VCS (2600) console. I created an entire 13 image theme based on my perfect run of the game.
It starts with the first image, cycles through them all in order, then repeats.
EDIT: Damn it, Imgur. My screenshots are all scaled down. Oh well, they should still be clear enough.

Amen there brother! But I will have to side with the others. Mostly every one (guys) do watch porn, its true. Although most people in a public setting do not want to know what x rated stuff that individuals look at. It's like a guy watching porn in the middle of a coffee shop, very disgusting. So going forward, next time just put it in a hidden folder...
Now thats all over with. Here is a screenshot that I have been meaning to post from my 17 year old computer before I upgraded it to debian 9. Might not be suitable for all viewers...
Nothing too interesting going on here. This is from my older Dell laptop that sits on the coffee table. Just your standard Windows XP desktop with a photo I took of our dock and boat in Brant Lake, NY.

chuckles AOL... my 1st computer came with that.
Well, I think I can finally add my pics... I took these just 10 minutes ago!
Oh, and

One of MS' many shortsighted decisions was to make the default 2K/XP wallpapers 800x600, and as such don't scale terribly well to even 1024x768. This one is the only exception because it blends in with the default win2k background colour.
I don't think I've ever shown pictures of my desktops. So, here they are,
Main PC (my custom built desktop PC)
Alternate PC (my laptop)
My Chromebook
Yes, I do like to keep my desktops clean and having all my programs organized without all that clutter No offense everyone else, your desktops look fine as well.
Hmm, so they've indirectly copied two things from Windows: the name and the wallpaper (looks like the default wallpaper from the first Whistler builds with Luna). Not to mention going from the iPhone 8 to 10.
I thank the Windows 2000 holdouts for making Longhorn usable even today.
EDIT: This longhorn build does indeed contain Tablet PC Components. Glitchy, but they work.
You don't need Windows 10 1809, macOS Mojave or Royale Noir to have a (mostly) dark theme.
I think it would be possible to modify the side graphics in explorer.exe to make it even darker. Or switch to litestep... unfortunately white is the only colour that really blends with the win2k/me box motif.
It does send chills down my spine that I'm using a near-perfect win95 UI replica in one of my main OSes in 2019.

6 screens with total width of 8064 pixels.
That is the worst wallpaper I've ever seen
Then it goes through the same order with the word "Famicom" displayed instead.
Then it cycles back again. For the sake of not making a post that's a bunch of huge images, only the light blue slides have been uploaded.
Yeah, it really is. Dude, this obsession you seem to have with making all of your computers look terrifying and/or evil is unhealthy.

Yes, I do put all my apps in a folder.
Also, yes, that is the Mojave desktop. because im a apple fanboy but macs are too costly.
